She was born in Amelia Court House, VA on February 12, 1939, to the late Willie Lee and Florence Allen Bradley.  She attended Russell Grove High School.

Affectionately called “Ree” long known around Amelia and surrounding counties as the “Pot Holder Lady”.

Sister Marie joined the Moorish Science Temple of Amelia in 1953 where she was a faithful member and follower of Islam and the teachings of the Prophet Noble Drew Ali.

Sister Marie often quoted from the Holy Koran as well as her own quotes such as “ The good you do will come back to you”, “The Devil is always busy”, “One monkey don’t stop no show”.
