On Thursday, June 16, 2022, God sent down an angel from Heaven and carried Ellis Jackson, Jr. to his eternal home. A home of rest, free from all sickness and pain.
Ellis was born on August 29, 1937, to the late Ellis and Martha Pegram Jackson in Amelia, Virginia. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the Little Bethel Baptist Church at a very young age.
Ellis attended and graduated from Russell Grove High School. He worked in construction for several years and was also a CDL driver. He was married to Queen Jones and through this union, they were blessed with one child, Alonzo.
He was faithful in church and served as a Trustee. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Ellis was preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Jackson, one sister, Ruby Ross, and one granddaughter.
He leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to his son, Alonzo M. Jackson; grandson, Vincent Towns and great grandson, Avery Towns of Ohio; one sister, Joyce Barksdale of Chesterfield, VA; one sister-in-law, Martha Jackson of New York; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, and caregiver, Queen Jackson.
