Obituary of Margaree Jackson

Margaree Jackson departed this life peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born July 31, 1953 in Amelia, Virginia to the late Louise Jackson Coleman and David Lee Jackson. 

Margaree lived her early years of life in Amelia, Virginia where she began her education in Amelia County Public Schools and finished her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. She later returned to Amelia, Virginia and was employed by Chippenham Hospital as a Housekeeper and later retired.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Jackson Jr., grandmother Jenny Bailey Jefferson and grandfather, Haddon Jefferson.  

“Touch”, as she was affectionately called by her family and close friends, was known for her radiant smile and sweet spirit. She was always willing to lend a hand in any way she could. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. 

Margaree leaves to cherish her precious memories: her siblings, devoted sister, Mary Lawrence of Amelia, Virginia, Linda Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland, Edwanto Jefferson of Prince George’s County, Maryland and Mark Jefferson of Amelia, Virginia; a devoted niece, Britney Jefferson of Amelia, Virginia; nieces, Dionne Coleman of Baltimore, Maryland, Kira Jefferson of Prince George’s County, Maryland; nephew, Charles Jenkins of Amelia, Virginia; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews which she cherished dearly, cousins, extended family and friends too numerous to name.
