Today we face one of life’s most difficult moments, the sudden death of someone so precious and special to all of us. On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom, mercy, and grace called Michael Alonzo Robinson to his heavenly home. The son of the late Richard Robinson, Sr. and his honorable mother, Marian Robinson, was born on October 13, 1959, in Amelia County, Virginia. He attended Amelia County High School and then furthered his education by receiving several occupational training/skill certificates including certification in Floor Covering. He also worked at Alleghany Warehouse in Richmond, VA. For many years.
At an early age Michael joined the Bethia Baptist Church. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was the type of person that did not mind helping others. Michael loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding, racecars and certainly loved his dogs. He also loved watching Family Feud.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delmetria N. Robinson, father, Richard Robinson, Sr., sisters, Darlene and Shirletta, and brother, Tony.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Michael A., Jr. and Emmanuel J. Robinson; daughter, LaShaunda D. Robinson; grandsons, Corey N. Young, Jr., Michael A. III, and Makhi A. Robinson; mother, Marian Robinson; sisters, Pamela Jefferson (Larry), Gloria Robinson (Larry), and Taylora Robinson (Rashad); brothers, Richard, Jr. and Anthony Robinson; devoted fiancé, Charlotte Royal and her children and grandchildren; ex-wife, Pastor Flora (Minister Dexter) Skipwith; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, October, 9th from 12 PM-7 PM Family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM. At the V. Y. Scott Funeral Home, 14001 Patrick Henry Highway, Amelia, Va. 23002.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 13300 Mt. Olive Lane, Amelia, VA. 23002
