Today we face one of life’s most difficult moments, the loss of someone so very special to all of us. On Sunday, August 29, 2021, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom, mercy, and grace very quietly and peacefully called Mable Lou Archer to her heavenly home.
"Mable Lou" was born March 13, 1942, to the late Paul and Elizabeth McGhee Reed in Amelia, Virginia. She was educated in the public schools of Amelia.
"Mable Lou" as she was affectionately called by her family and friends join Little Bethel Baptist Church at a very tender age. She remained faithfully until declining health. She loved Goodwill stores, yard sales and Rosie’s. She retired as a domestic worker with over thirty-five years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Archer, Jr, two daughters, Phyllis Ann and Tedria Archer, grandson, Shaun Worsham.
"Mable Lou" leaves precious and loving memories to, her devoted children, sons, Frankie (Mison), Curtis (Claudette), and Ronnie Archer; daughters, Julia and Sandra Archer, Connie Brooks (Alonzo); grandchildren, Latasha, Tiffany and Danielle Archer, Ashley Reed (Dominic), Lamont Worsham, Curtis and Tequan Pollard, Antonio (Shelby), Andrew (Allina), Austin and Andrea Archer, Terrell Lee and Chino DeJesus; great grandchildren; sister, Alice Pegram; brother, Ben Reed (Jennifer); sisters-in-law, Janice Archer, Hazel, Doris, and Lyndell Reed; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 12:00 to 7:00 PM at the V. Y. Scott Funeral Home, Amelia, VA. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amelia, VA.
CDC protocol and guidelines will be followed.
