We have gathered today under the wings of our Heavenly Father to honor, praise, and give thanks to God for the life and memory of Sadie Mae Williams.
Sadie Mae Williams entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2021.
Sadie was born September 12, 1959, in Chesterfield County, Virginia to parents Spencer Williams Jr and Mary Williams.
Sadie graduated from Clover Hill High School in 1979 and was best known for being reserved and soft spoken. In her early years, she enjoyed visiting her local high school to engage in a game of volleyball or softball amongst her peers.
She devoted 26 years in employment with Ukrop’s Homestyle Food and over 10 years to Chesterfield County Public School System. Besides spending time with family and friends, Sadie enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, and hosting annual family gatherings. Sadie was known for being compassionate and a giver. She rarely missed an opportunity to celebrate milestones of her family and friends.
Sadie was preceded in death by her parents Spencer Williams Jr and Mary Williams along with her brother Richard Williams.
She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to; Aunts,Viola Williams, Shirley Brown, Cecelia Horne and Caroline Williams; a devoted friend, Brian Pollard; Daughter, Natasha Williams; three grandchildren, Kemontae, Jamere and Na’kiyahWilliams; Sisters, Corleatha, Nancy (Bruce), Connie and Cynthia; Brothers, Ronnie (Tara), Jerry and Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the V. Y. Scott Funeral Home, Amelia, Virginia. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Chesterfield, VA.
CDC guidelines and protocol will be followed.
