Obituary of Ophelia Elizabeth Clay Bragg

On Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:02 P.M., Ophelia Elizabeth Clay Bragg received her heavenly wings to join her Lord and Savior. She accepted her wings peacefully.
She was born to the late William and Ora Belle Clay on October 31, 1954. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Restoration Full Gospel Baptist Church. She was also the church clerk and member of the missionary. She loved the Lord and worshipped Him in spirit and in truth.
Ophelia graduated from Nottoway High School in 1974 and received her BS Degree from Virginia State College (now University). She was a faithful and dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher at the Amelia County Elementary School.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three brothers, William Clay (Corlis), Floyd L. Clay, Sr. (Beverly), Alvin Clay (Carolyn), all of Blackstone, VA; one nephew, Floyd Clay, Jr.; three nieces, Shimeeka, Wendy and Tiffany Clay; five great nephews, Brien, Tre, Justin, and Kevin Stokes, Deaon Clay; one great niece, Vineasha Stokes; host of cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
