MARY ANN JONES COLEMAN departed this life on November 21, 2023 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Mary Ann was born to the late James Jones and Mary Finney Jones on September 27, 1950 in Amelia County, Virginia. Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Amelia and Olivia Jones.
Ann was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Amelia, Virginia. She attended the Russell Grove Schools and graduated from Amelia County High School, Class of 1971. She completed the Nurse’s Aide program at the Amelia-Nottoway Vo-Tech Center. Later Ann began work in various positions at the MCV(VCU) School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia until her retirement.
Her hobbies included dancing, listening to music, the internet, watching and discussing the soaps with anyone who would listen, the Hallmark holiday movies and spending time with her grandson, Sincere.
Left to cherish her loving memories are, her children, Tiffany (Sheba) and Alisha (Kione); grandson, Sincere; brother, Mark Jones; sister, Debra Valentine; ex-husband, Curtis Coleman, Jr.; aunt, Nell Bumbrey; cousins, Reverend Bernard Bumbrey and Ruth Finks; nieces and nephews; devoted friends, Alice H. Woodley, Marcella El, Cheryl Lamp, Jack Davis; many other family and friends at MCV; also Jerry the Cat.
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength, labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psalms 90:10
