On Monday, November 20, 2023 at 5:35 p.m. in Chippenham Hospital, ROBERT LEE BARLEY, known as “LIL HEAVY” accepted his wings and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Robert was born August 12, 1969 to Judy Corine Barley. At an early age he was baptized and joined Little Union Baptist Church where he sang in the junior choir.
In June 1988 he graduated from Amelia County High School. He was a truck driver for B & B Hauling. He enjoyed racing and loved going to the race track, cooking, and going to church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Corine Barley, and uncle, James Sherman Barley.
Robert leaves to cherish fond memories, loving mother, Judy Booker; stepfather, Gregory Booker; aunts, Phyllis Crump (Arthur), Lovelean Bailey, and Caldonia Smith (Alphonso Jefferson); uncle, John Smith; great aunt, Lucy Anderson; great uncles, Morven Barley (Lillian), and Randall Barley; goddaughter, Tianna Trent; favorite cousins, Yoki and Kaliya Clay; other cousins, relatives and friends, among them devoted, Ron, Jay, Terrell, Roger and Waverly.
