On Monday, July 31, 2023, God sent down an angel from heaven and carried Rosa Stewart Callis to her eternal home, where she is free from all sickness and pain.
Rosa was born on October 3, 1929, in the Mannboro community of Amelia County, Virginia to the late Lloyd and Manervia Glenn Stewart. She attended schools in Amelia County, Virginia.
Rosa joined the Branches Runn Baptist Church at a young age. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Samuel Callis. She retired as a custodian and private nurse, employed by several families in Richmond, Virginia. She loved her family and friends, sharing lots of love, fun and laughter.
Rosa was preceded in death by her siblings, Dora Epps, Ida Wooten, Ella Robinson, Toy and Matt Stewart, nephews, Curtis Robinson, and Joseph Bolden.
Rosa leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her nieces, Ella Miller, and Carol Stewart; nephew, Lloyd Stewart; great nieces and nephews, Stacey and Sean Bolden, Kimberly and Curtis Davis; great-great nieces and nephews, Brianna, Taya, Ni’dajah, Nylin Bolden and Kidarrah Johnson; cousins, other relatives, and friends.
