Viola Elnora Dickerson was called to her Heavenly home on February 22, 2023 at Johnston-Willis Hospital. The eldest daughter of her siblings, Viola was born on June 22, 1930, in Amelia County, Virginia, to the late Haywood and Farrenda Dickerson.
Viola attended schools in Amelia County. She was baptized at an early age at Union Branch Baptist Church and, she also attended Little Union Baptist Church. Upon moving to Richmond where she lived most of her life, she was a faithful member of Faith Landmark Ministries where she attended until her health began to decline. She always remained a Child of God.
She loved to learn, gardening, and the latest fashions. She was always particular about her appearance.
Viola was a beautiful person inside and out. A truly selfless person who loved her family immensely and took great care of them. Deeply loved by her family, she will never be forgotten.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, daughter, Gloria Dickerson; sister, Betty Dickerson; her favorite niece, Yvonne Dickerson-Joyce; many nephews, great nephews, great-great nieces, and other relatives.
